Seasonal Guide
Lisbon in December
December is one of the nicest times to see Lisbon. Mild and often bright, festive lights and markets, far quieter than summer, it is one of the best value months of the year to visit the city.

December Weather
Mild, with bright clear days
December is mild by European standards, with daytime temperatures usually in the low to mid teens and plenty of bright, clear days between the showers. A coat and a light layer are all you need to walk the city in comfort.
What Is On
Festive lights and markets
Festive lights go up along the main avenues and the downtown squares, seasonal markets appear across the centre, and the whole city takes on a calm, celebratory feel without the crush of the summer crowds. It is an easy, walkable time to wander from square to square with a coffee in hand.
